Some days it feels like all we ever receive is junk mail. Those rare days when we receive a fun postcard or pretty envelope are THE best days. We strive to maximize those days for others by sending fun cards near and far. We keep it simple (or else it will never get done) with a few easy tricks! Here’s what we recommend.
Keep Blank Cards Around
This may seem obvious but it’s the most challenging part of mailing a card. You need to have the cards around in order to send them out! Stocking up on birthday cards like these, our monthly snail mail subscription, or pretty blank cards will ensure you always have the perfect card to drop in the mail!
Add an Envelope Liner – Like This Free One!
Instantly up your envelope game by printing out envelope liners and adding them to your envelope. The “trick” is to make sure you put glue on either side of the envelope fold so the liner stays in place when the envelope is opened. We recommend just good ol glue-stick glue and printing on regular printer paper. Let the glue dry and you’re all set. We had fun creating these cactus envelope liners for some mail going out this month and definitely wanted to share them with you! Stock Up on Fun Stamps
Look for deals or purchase stamps when they’re on sale! Amazon has them often. We like to peruse the USPS website frequently in order to find the prettiest stamps available. We just love anything with nature or from our favorite children’s books. And how can you not *love* these “Love” stamps from the USPS collaboration with Rifle Paper?
Write The Name in a Fun Way
You do not need to know calligraphy to do this! Try cursive or block letters! Find a style you like and see if you can imitate it. The choice is completely yours and there is no “wrong” option here! Just be sure to write the address in neat print because you want it to easily arrive wherever you’re sending it.
Utilize Washi Tape
Washi tape will up your envelope game, always. And it’s ridiculously inexpensive and fun! This pack is our absolute favorite.
Toss in Confetti, Ribbon, or Stickers!
Add a little mess! Cut up some colorful paper and make your own confetti! Find some stickers at the Dollar Tree and decorate away. Wrap a ribbon around your letter and tuck it in your envelope. Anything that will add a little “Hi, hey, how are you?” in your snail mail makes it more fun to receive.
